Here are some more reasons why you’ll love carrot fries;

  • Amazing flavor– Carrots have a natural sweetness but aren’t too sweet. Crisped up with garlic and salt, the flavor is off-the-charts good.
  • Vegan friendly– Not only is this recipe vegan friendly, but it’s gluten-free and with only 4 grams of net carbs, they can even be eaten in small quantities on a Keto diet.

Ingredients For Air Fry Carrot Sticks

These deliciously crispy air fryer carrot fries are an easy 4-ingredient vegan side or healthy snack! Here’s what you need:

  • Carrots– Obviously, you need carrots, but make sure you get whole carrots, not baby carrots. The bigger around they are, the easier they will be to cut into carrot sticks.
  • Olive oil– I use olive oil because it’s a healthier oil, but you can use canola oil, avocado oil or vegetable oil if you like. Oil helps the spices stick to your carrots.
  • Garlic powder-I use garlic powder for seasoning, but if you like your fries saltier, you could use garlic salt.
  • Salt– You can’t have fries without salt. If you want to limit your salt intake, you can use Morton’s Salt Substitute instead.

Best Air Fryer Carrot Fries Seasoning

Air fryer carrot fries can taste wonderful with just the right amount of seasoning. Seasoned carrots are what makes them taste so good. Here are some of my favorite seasoning combinations:

  • Salt, Garlic Powder and Pepper Seasoning: If you love the classic salty-garlicky taste of oven-baked fries, this is a great option for your air fryer carrots. Just sprinkle on 1/2 teaspoon each garlic powder, salt and black pepper .
Cayenne Pepper and Paprika Carrot Fries: To make your crispy fries extra flavorful, add in 1/8 teaspoon each of cayenne pepper and smoked paprika.
  • Curried Carrot Fries: Make your carrot fries spicy with a little curry powder. The tangy taste of curry is perfect for carrots. Just mix 1 tablespoon of curry powder and 1/4 teaspoon of onion powder with ¼ cup olive oil before tossing with your carrots.
Spicy Carrot Fries With Turmeric and Black Pepper: Turmeric is a great spice to use if you’re looking for that “golden curry” taste. Add 1/2 teaspoon each of turmeric and black pepper to give your carrot fries a flavorful kick!
Lemon Juice and Parmesan Cheese: If you prefer a tangier taste, try adding a dash of lemon juice and shredded Parmesan cheese to your air fryer french fries. Just sprinkle on a bit before cooking for the perfect zesty and cheesy side dish!

Whether you like your carrots salty or sweet, spicy or mild, there are plenty of delicious seasoning combos that can be used to make your air fryer carrot fries better than any traditional french fries.

Storage And Reheating Instructions

  • Storage Instructions: Store leftover air-fried carrots in an airtight container to maintain freshness. Refrigerate the cooked carrots within two hours of preparation. For longer storage, consider freezing the air-fried carrots.
  • Freezing Instructions: Allow the air-fried carrots to cool completely before freezing. Place the carrots in a freezer-safe, airtight container or sealable plastic bag. Label the container with the date for easy tracking. Frozen air-fried carrots can be stored for up to 3 months.
  • Reheating Instructions:: Preheat an oven or air fryer to 350°F (175°C) to reheat refrigerated air-fried carrots. Place the carrots on a baking sheet or the air fryer basket. Reheat for 5-7 minutes or until thoroughly heated, stirring halfway through. If reheating from frozen, add a few extra minutes to the reheating time. Check for doneness and ensure the carrots are heated evenly before serving.

By following these storage, freezing, and reheating instructions, you can enjoy the delicious taste and texture of air-fried carrots whenever you desire.
