how healthy is cauliflower pizza base?
This is important because most people who decide to go low carb have to watch their fat intake and this includes the pizza they eat. When you’re on a low carb diet you have to be careful of the fat content in your food.
However, I think most people are surprised to find out that even though cauliflower is very high in carbohydrates, it contains only 1/4 cup of carbs per cup.
That’s the same amount of carbs you’d get from eating 6-ounces of white rice, 8-ounces of potatoes or 12-ounces of bread.
Cauliflower is a great source of other important vitamins and minerals like vitamin C, potassium, magnesium and B vitamins. It also contains a small amount of protein.
One cup of chopped raw cauliflower (the stuff you buy in the supermarket) has only 42 calories and is a good source of fiber.
Most people don’t realize that the soluble fiber found in foods like oats, beans, peas and some fruits helps keep you feeling full for a long period of time.
The insoluble fiber found in foods like cauliflower and wheat bran is good for your digestive tract.

is Cauliflower pizza low carb crust is soggy?
If you find your cauliflower pizza crust is too soggy then you may need to ensure the water has been squeezed out as much as possible during the water removal process.
Also cutting back on the amount of water used when preparing the cauliflower makes a big difference. Try squeezing out more water with your cheese cloth next time you make the cauliflower base. The texture will be a little bit more hard-textured than a traditional pizza crust but it won’t be gritty.
