For this Instant Pot Pork Chops Recipe, I recommend boneless pork chops. These are the most common type of pork chop and usually come from the shoulder or loin area. They are leaner than bone-in pork chops, making them ideal for pressure cooking.

Try to look for thick cuts with even fat distribution across the pork chop to ensure they don’t dry out during the cooking process.

  • 1 Medium Onion
  • 4 Boneless Pork Chops
  • Salt And Pepper To Taste
  • 2 Beef Broth Or Vegetable Stock Cubes
  • 1 Cup Of Hot Water
  • 1 teaspoon of Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1/3 Cup Sour Cream
  • Mashed Root Veg or Cauliflower Rice (Keto Option)
  • Green Vegetable Of Your Choice

How To Cook Creamy Instant Pot Pork Chops

Begin by browning the pork chops on saute mode.

Here is a step-by-step guide for cooking pork chops in the Instant Pot:

Step One: Brown Chops

Add pork chops to the Instant Pot. Begin by browning the pork chops on saute mode.

Step Two: Prepare Onions

Chop and add the onions to the browned pork chops and cook until soft. 

Step Three: Add Stock

Mix one cup of water with the beef or vegetable stock. 

Step Four: Add Sauce

Add the Worcestershire sauce and pour the mixture over the pork chops and onions. 

Step Five: Add Trivet And Veg

Add a trivet to your pot and pop in any vegetables you wish to eat with your meals. Broccoli and other green vegetables are a great option if you’re making Keto Pork chops.

If you wish to thicken your sauce you can add a teaspoon of cornflour.

Alternatively, as a Keto option, you can reduce the liquid using a strainer. For this recipe, I added 1 teaspoon of cornflour.

Step Seven: Add Sour Cream

Finally, add the sour cream to the liquid and stir.

Remove pork chops and serve with root vegetables or cauliflower rice (as a Keto option) and of course, finish with your green vegetables.

What To Serve With Pork Chops

Pork chops can be served with a variety of sides, such as potatoes, vegetables, and rice. Serve pork chops with one of the following:
