Tips to Make the Air Fryer Roasted Potatoes
Making these roasted potatoes may be easy, but you wouldn’t want to say no to these tips and tricks too.
- To make these Air Fryer potatoes cheesy and delicious, you can top them with some grated Parmesan cheese right before you serve them.
- I have used regular olive oil for the seasoned potatoes, but you can use extra virgin olive oil too, if you have those at hand.
- If you don’t have an Air Fryer, but still want to try these roasted potatoes, you can roast potatoes in the oven. Just remember to dry potatoes well before you coat them in the seasoning and roast them in the oven.
- I have used baby potatoes for this recipe, but you can also use Yukon gold potatoes cut into smaller chunks instead.
- Red potatoes, yellow potatoes and Russet potatoes are some other good choices too.
- Remember to allow the cooked potatoes to cool down completely before you serve them.
- To lend these roast potatoes more flavor, you can sprinkle a bit of Cajun seasoning, Italian seasoning or a dash of garlic powder or salt and pepper to them after you’re done air frying them.
- You can also top these Air Fryer roasted potatoes with some chopped parsley or any other fresh herbs of your choice right before you serve.
What Other Variations Can I Try?
You can bring in quite a lot of variation to these Air Fryer roasted potatoes by simply tweaking around the seasonings and spices.
You can go beyond the classic salt and pepper seasoning and add some garlic powder or Italian seasoning into the mix.
A dash of Cajun seasoning can also add a lot of flavor to the roasted potatoes.
When I’m craving for a spicy kick in my side dish, I also add a touch of chili powder and some chopped garlic cloves into the ingredients.
How Do I Make the Potatoes More Crispy?
There are a few steps you could take to ensure maximum crispiness in these potatoes.
First, cut potatoes in medium to small pieces, and coat them nicely in the olive oil and seasonings.
Next, remember to place them in a single layer in the Air Fryer basket and toss potatoes midway through the cooking process.
