Cooking Tips

Ready to give this easy recipe a try? You might want to take note of these little tips and tricks.

  • To add more flavor to the pizza, you can also top it with a drizzle of olive oil.
  • You can also brush some beaten egg mixture on the exposed parts of the top crust of the pizza to lend it a nice shine.
  • While mozzarella cheese is the best choice for this recipe, you can also experiment and add some more kinds of cheese like ricotta cheese and basket cheese. In fact, you can also use a mix of two or more cheeses.
  • If you have any excess dough leftover that you want to store for later, transfer it to a large bowl and cover the top with plastic wrap. This can then be refrigerated for 2-3 days.
  • I love having lots of toppings on my Easter Pizza, and if you do too, you can also create a deep dish pizza for kids. Simply assemble the dough and the toppings in a springform pan instead of a baking dish.
  • If you want to add an egg wash to the pastry, crack and beat an egg. Spread the beaten eggs wash on the pastry for a golden crunch.
