Tips & Tricks to Make the Halloween Taco Dip
Ready to try out this dip for your Halloween party? Here are some more tips and tricks you might want to keep in mind.
- To bring a bit of texture to the Halloween bean dip, you can also add some diced tomatoes to the bean mixture.
- Chopped green onions can also be a fantastic addition to the dish. You can choose to add the chopped green onions on the top, or mix them in- it all depends on what you prefer.
- I’ve used Cheddar cheese for this recipe, but if you don’t have it, you can use any other shredded cheese you prefer. Monterey Jack is a great option, because its flavors complement the flavors of the black beans well.
- If you don’t have taco seasoning but still want to lend this taco dip some additional flavor, you can add some cayenne pepper or smoked paprika to it.
What Other Variations Can I Try?
- You can also make a layer dip by spreading a smooth layer of the black bean dip in a small bowl, then topping it with chopped green onions or any other chopped veggies of your choice, in an even layer.
- If you have some guacamole, you can also spread guacamole on the refried beans mixture.
- In fact, you can also spread some salsa on top of the guacamole and make another layer.
How to Store the Bean Dip
Just like a good Halloween taco dip, this easy bean dip can be covered up with plastic wrap and refrigerated for 2-3 days.
That said, the sour cream spiderweb might not look as fresh and in place, because sour cream may get slightly runny after being refrigerated.
How to Serve the Halloween Party Bean Dip
The easiest way to serve this Halloween taco dip is to team it up with your favorite tortilla chips.
Instead of using a large bowl, you can also choose to transfer the bean dip to a baking dish and then top it with sour cream spider web and all the olive spiders. This can be a great set up if you’re hosting Halloween festivities at home, and have some guests coming over.
