Instant Pot Chicken Ramen Ingredients

You’ll need a little more than a couple of packs of ramen for this Chicken ramen Instant Pot recipe. Here’s the ingredients list:

  • Chicken breasts: I prefer to use boneless, skinless chicken breasts. However, any boneless chicken will work.
  • Carrots: You can buy regular carrots and slice them thin, or you can grab the pre-cut carrots instead.
  • Bell peppers: For this recipe, you will need both a red bell pepper, and a green bell pepper. If you prefer yellow or orange, you can use those as well.
  • Green onions: Green onions add a burst of flavor. You will want to slice them into 2-inch parts.
  • Soy sauce: Low-sodium soy sauce adds another fabulous layer of flavor that the entire family will love.
  • Sesame seeds: These are a great source of healthy fats, and they add a layer of texture with a nutty flavor.
  • Packets of ramen noodles: You will need just two packets of regular ramen noodles. (You don’t need to use the seasoning packet). You can also switch the noodle packets out for brown rice ramen noodles if you prefer.
  • Seasonings: In addition to the above ingredients, you’ll need to season this Instant pot chicken ramen with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  • Chicken Broth – This can be homemade chicken broth or ready-made chicken stock.
  • Sesame Oil – To saute your chicken

Can I Use Other Types Of Meat In This Ramen Noodle Instant Pot Recipe?

Yes, absolutely! Feel free to use chicken thighs instead of chicken breast or you could opt for shrimp, pork, beef or tofu in place of the chicken in this recipe.

Just make sure to adjust your cooking time accordingly. Whatever meat you cook, you’ll need to saute it until it is cooked through before adding your noodles and pressure cooking.

Sure! Simply break up the dried ramen noodles and add them to the Instant Pot during the pressure cooking time. Keep in mind that they may not have as much of a chewy texture as the ramen cake noodles, but they will still taste delicious!

Are Instant Pot Ramen Noodles Better Than Stove Top Noodles?

This really comes down to personal preference. Both options are quick and easy to make, with the Instant Pot being slightly faster since it uses pressure-cooking technology.

Some people prefer the texture of traditional stove-top ramen noodles, while others enjoy the chewiness that the cake noodles provide in this Instant Pot recipe.

The Instant Pot also allows the cooked chicken, chicken stock and noodles to infuse flavors together, creating a more flavorful dish.

Ultimately, it’s up to you and your taste preferences! Give both options a try and see which one you prefer.

Do Ramen Noodles Expire Or Do Ramen Noodles Go Bad?

Generally, ramen noodles have a long shelf life and do not expire. However, the seasoning packet included with ramen noodles does have an expiration date.

To ensure the best taste, it’s best to use the seasoning packet before its expiration date.

Storing Leftover Ramen Noodles

Keep in mind that any recipe leftovers should be stored in the refrigerator and eaten within 3-4 days for optimal taste and food safety.
