- 2 tablespoons of plain Greek yogurt

Check Milk Temperature
After you heat the milk, make sure the milk temperature is at 180°f, if not, set the instant pot to sauté and bring the warm milk to temperature.
Create An Ice Bath For Your Milk
Remove instant pot liner and let cool to 105°f. To speed this up, place an instant pot liner in an ice bath in the sink. Only 3 inches of water is necessary. Once the milk is at 105°f, remove any film that formed on top of the milk.

Homemade yogurt will last for up to 2 weeks in the fridge. Make sure to store it in an airtight container.
If you want to make a larger batch of yogurt, you can double the ingredients. Just remember to use a larger instant pot liner so that the milk doesn’t boil over.
Once your thick yogurt is ready to serve add the yogurt to a large mixing bowl and cover with cling film. you can then clean out your inner pot to use in other cooking.
Making A New Batch Of Plain Yogurt
When you are ready to make a new batch of yogurt, you can use the leftover yogurt from the previous batch as your starter culture.
This will save you from having to buy a new yogurt starter every time you want to make yogurt. The starter culture will have active cultures that will help to thicken the milk and turn it into yogurt.
What If I Don’t Have A Yogurt Button?
If your instant pot doesn’t have a yogurt button, you can still make yogurt in it. Just set the Instant Pot to the keep warm setting and set the timer for 8 hours.
