What Is Cinco De Mayo?

Cinco De Mayo is a special celebration held on the 5th May in Mexico and the USA. Cinco De Mayo is the day to commemorate the Mexican Army’s victory over the French in 1862.

At the battle of Puebla the Mexican Army beat the French forces of Napoleon III. Today in the USA, Cinco De Mayo is a celebration of Mexican-American culture and a day to feast on Mexican Food and drink.
