The Milk Diet involves drinking 2 litres of semi skim milk, or low fat milk, for 4 weeks. There is no other food or supplements. One of the reasons people are loving this diet, despite the rapid weight loss, is that the diet is inexpensive, coming in at about $2 a day in some cases.
Despite being extremely restrictive, many who have followed the milk diet say it was very easy to stick to. They have reported that the milk has kept them satisfied and that they did not struggle with being hungry while drinking thte 2 litres of milk each day.

The results of the Milk Diet shows that people are losing weight with the Milk Diet, simply by drinking nothing but milk. It is even getting backed by some weight loss experts and nutritionists. The science behind the Milk Diet is that it works because of the excessive calcium consumption. Because of the calcium, the body starts to lose fat, especially in the stomach.
It is claimed that the Milk Diet works because it cuts calories while providing everything your body needs. Another reason it is said that the diet helps you lose weight is that it is retraining your stomach.
Is the milk diet healthy?
Since milk is high in vitamins, especially Vitamin D and Calcium, the milk keeps the body from lacking in vitamins. The protein in the milk keeps the body fueled and functioning well. Since milk is good for you and filled with important things the body needs, you get everything you need and can lose up to 10kg in a month.
While this diet is backed by some nutritionists and weight loss experts, you should not follow this diet for more than 4 weeks. You should also not follow this diet allow. You should always talk to a doctor or nutritionists to make sure you are being healthy and that this diet is ok for you to follow, even for a short time.
Is the Milk Diet a Bariatric Surgery Pre-op diet
Before you have bariatric surgery you will be put on a special diet. Sometimes this is a diet similar to the milk diet. When following this diet as part of the pre-op diet you will be drinking skim milk. Most people who who are on this diet as part of a bariatric surgery pre-op will only be on the diet for 2 weeks rather than for 4.
