How To Make Tenderloin Sliders Using the Instant Pot?
Step One: Set the Instant Pot to sauté and add the tenderloin with some oil. Add onion, peppercorns and garlic. Seat all sides of the tenderloin.
Step Two: Remove tenderloin and add 1/2 cup of water to deglaze the Instant Pot. Add remaining water and trivet. Replace tenderloin on the trivet.
Step Three: Cook the tenderloin on high pressure for 4 minutes. Manually release pressure and check the temperature of the center to ensure tenderloin is at least 140°. Remove tenderloin and slice thin.
Step Four: Place 4-6 slices of pork on the buns and top with BBQ sauce. You may also add coleslaw for that extra bite and crunch.
Be Sure To Deglaze Your Pot
- Deglaze Your Pot: It’s important to deglaze the Instant Pot after you Saute food to prevent food particles from sticking to the bottom of the pot. Add a little liquid and scrape the bottom of the pot clear. This keeps the flavor in the pot but prevents the meal from getting the Burn Notice.
Substitutions
- Herb Medley: Replace onion and garlic with a blend of dried herbs such as thyme, rosemary, and oregano. This mix can add a robust and aromatic flavor to your tenderloin.
- Citrus Zest and Pepper: Use lemon or orange zest along with black pepper to create a zesty and slightly tangy profile. This combination can provide a fresh and lively taste to your tenderloin.
- Smoked Paprika and Cumin: Combine smoked paprika and ground cumin for a smoky and earthy alternative. This duo can infuse a unique and flavorful twist to your pork tenderloin.
Variations
- Sweet Teriyaki Twist: Marinate pork in teriyaki and pineapple. Stack on rolls with teriyaki mayo, a pineapple slice, and lettuce.
- Sizzling Sriracha Delight: Spice up pork with paprika and cumin. Top rolls with sriracha mayo, cooked pork, jalapeños, and arugula.
- Brie and Apple Elegance: Season pork with thyme and rosemary. Slide onto rolls with Dijon, caramelized apples, and brie.
Storage & Reheating Suggestions
- Fridge: Refrigerate leftover pork tenderloin sliders in an airtight container for 3-4 days.
- Freeze: Freeze individually wrapped sliders in plastic wrap for up to 1-2 months.
- Reheat: From the freezer, thaw sliders in the fridge overnight, then reheat in the oven (15-20 minutes) or use a microwave with a damp paper towel until warmed. Check pork’s internal temperature, aiming for 145°F (63°C).
