Can You Cook Brown Rice in the Instant Pot Easily?

You love the Instant Pot because of its cooking efficiency and how quickly it can get dinner on the table, but sometimes people are intimidated by all the buttons or worried they won’t cook their food properly. If this sounds like you then don’t worry; we have a three-step guide to making brown rice in record time!

Is Brown Rice Healthier Than White Rice?

Brown rice is healthier than white rice because the brown variety has more nutrients and fewer calories. White rice is made by removing the bran and germ of brown rice, which removes dietary fiber that can help regulate glucose levels in diabetics. White rice also does not have any nutritional vitamins found in brown rice.

Nutrition in Brown Rice

Brown rice is a good source of manganese, magnesium, phosphorus and selenium. This can help lower blood pressure, promote bone health and improve thyroid function. Brown rice also provides protein!

How Much Fiber Is in Whole Grains?

Whole grains contain more fiber than refined grains so they are typically healthier. A fiber-rich diet can help with our digestive health and reduce cholesterol levels. Whole grains are also more filling than refined grains, so you’ll feel fuller after eating which helps with weight loss.
