Do I Need To Change The Amount of Liquid If The Chicken Is Bigger?
No. You can use the same amount of liquid no matter the size of your whole chicken. In fact, adding more water would simply result in a longer time to pressurise and a soggy chicken. That’s not something you want, especially if you plan to broil and crisp the skin at the end.
Can I Crisp My Whole Chicken Using the Air Fryer Lid On My Instant Pot?
The answer to this question is yes. If you have an Instant Pot duo crisp then simply drain any liquid from your pot and air fry your chicken for 5 minutes to crisp the skin. If you don’t have an air fryer lid you can broil in the over perfectly fine.

- For this recipe we used a medium size chicken which is about 2- 2.5 Lbs in weight or a 1kg chicken.
- Pour the wine and broth over the chicken. Some may not want to use wine. In this case, simply switch the wine for more chicken broth.
